Jeff’s Camp Inc. Barnegat, New Jersey to Cease Operations
On November 3, 2025 our executive board of directors unanimously voted to dissolve Jeff’s Camp.
“We are deeply saddened by this decision,” the Board said in a joint statement. “We recognize the impact this will have on the individuals and communities we serve. We remain committed to working closely with our partner and sister veterans’ organizations to help ensure continuity of care wherever possible.”
For the past five years, Jeff’s Camp has been a part of the Barnegat community, providing essential support to veterans facing housing and food insecurities. The organization’s Board of Directors and leadership team have made the difficult decision to dissolve Jeff’s Camp due to several challenges that were faced.
Jeff’s Camp extends its sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff members, volunteers, supporters, and partners who have contributed their time, energy, and passion over the years.
As part of the wind-down process, the organization will ensure a responsible and transparent transition, including the distribution of remaining assets and fulfillment of all outstanding obligations. Jeff’s Camp will donate remaining resources to similar nonprofit organizations that support veterans.

HELP FOR HEROES
Our organization is named for the late Jeffrey Allen Poissant, who battled cancer and fought tirelessly to get the care he needed from the VA. Before passing, he asked that we help other veterans in need. We are honored to carry out his wishes and continue his legacy by providing support and resources to veterans who need them most.
We’re a dedicated group of volunteers, including veteran, professionals, and citizens, who have come together from all walks of life to help veteran households.
